🚀 The Opportunity
An established and fast-scaling energy storage developer is hiring a Senior BESS Development Manager to lead the origination and execution of large-scale battery projects across Texas.
With a deep pipeline of utility-scale opportunities and long-term capital backing, this is a rare chance to take full ownership of development from greenfield through to NTP within one of the most active power markets in the world.
You will play a pivotal leadership role, shaping strategy, building projects, and influencing investment decisions in the Texas market.
🔋 Key Responsibilities
• Lead end-to-end development of utility-scale BESS projects
• Manage site origination, land control, and due diligence
• Drive interconnection strategy with ERCOT
• Oversee permitting, environmental studies & local authority engagement
• Own project economics, modelling & investment cases
• Coordinate EPC, grid consultants, legal, and internal delivery teams
• Present projects to investment committees & senior leadership
• Mentor junior developers and help scale the Texas platform
✅ Ideal Candidate Profile
• 5–10+ years’ experience in BESS, Solar, Wind, or hybrid project development
• Proven track record taking projects from early-stage through to construction
• Strong understanding of Texas power markets & merchant/hybrid revenue models
• Deep knowledge of interconnection, permitting & land acquisition
• Comfortable operating in high-growth, PE-backed environments
• Commercially astute with strong stakeholder management skills
